the highland scramble

Bikerbnb Adventures have been hosting The Highland Scramble since 2018, a curated events series from that features the best motorcycle riding that Scotland has to offer including incredible food, drink and exclusive accommodation.
Sam has been photographing these incredible trips for several years. By riding alongside the group he is able to leapfrog the motorcyclists, scout out the best spots and most importantly keep up with the pack as they cover hundreds of miles across the country. In 2021 Itago were commissioned to create a 20 minute film on behalf of the Bikerbnb guests. Ben filmed aerial footage of the bikes in epic scenery over two days whilst Sam rode alongside the group capturing riding footage en-route and candid video around the camp. A bar swap competition where top bartenders from across the country competed to win the opportunity to trade workplaces with other mixologists internationally.
We were commissioned to produce photos and video of the competition to be used to market the event. Social media edits were also required, with logos, text and music tailored to the brands social guidelines.

Hosted at the Edinburgh International Conference Center, Ooni celebrated their 10th birthday with two days of exciting conferences and workshops. The brief was to record dynamic video and capture high quality audio of the speakers and audience reactions throughout the conference schedule.
Our highlight of this commission was filming the amazing wrap party in the main hall of the National Museum of Scotland. Featuring several live music performances, speeches and dancing in the most inspiring venue.

The 125th anniversary of Walkers Shortbread was celebrated with a full day of outdoor delights at their home in the Scottish Highlands. We were commissioned to create video and photography content which evoked the fun and celebratory atmosphere of the summer festival vibe. This event had so much to capture… Pipe bands, sports activities, Scottish dancers, food trucks, cocktail bars and a party which went into the night hosted by an amazing ABBA tribute band. What a day!

We had the joy of filming and photographing the Royal Edinburgh Tattoo for a truly wonderful client. Filming in the grounds of Edinburgh castle and capturing the spectacle of such a unique performance was such a treat. This video was used to document a very special trip for a group of people from the other side of the world.

The beautiful hidden away treehouses are a joy to capture. We continue to regularly produce photos and video of the interior an exteriors of these magical hideaways, their beautifully designed interiors are a joy to capture and showing the wider area surrounding them in all seasons really inspires our creativity.
Most recently we created a documentary film describing the design, planning, build and use of their amazing hidden sauna. This featured a double conversational interview with the architect and owner, shots of the sauna in use in day and evening twilight.

Our work with Delnabo Estate was initiated with a commission to produce photographic marketing material for the renting of the Lodge. Upon delivery of the content we were tasked with creating a website as a marketing platform for the video and photos and a booking system for holiday rental customers.
Since starting to work with Delnabo three years ago the project has grown arms and legs; we continue to visit regularly (in every season) to create photos and video material. We manage the social media accounts for Delnabo Estate, posting the content we create regularly, meaning they can concentrate on running the beautiful estate, and we can keep up with the hashtags and reels!

Two evening parties and a full day of carefully curated fun included outdoor activities, fine dining, special guests and live music, culminating in an epic evening celebration.

A challenging 100 mile gravel bike racing event in the Trossachs National park. Covering such a large network of closed gravel roads was a planning conundrum, but with many paper maps, GPS routes and locations scouted we were prepared to divide and conquer. No amount of planning however, could stop the brutal weather; we battled with rain and mud all day to create a fast paced, gritty film which conveys the true challenge of the course and conditions. The film is a great memento for the participants and has been used to advertise the (now sold out) 2024 event.

We were asked to produce a 10 minute documentary on the workings of Roxburghe Estates in the Scottish Borders. We utilised our extensive experience of drone videography to convey the beauty and diversity of the estate well as Piece-to-Camera interviews to explain fascinating stories and important facts to guests visiting Floors Castle during their tour..

abrdn purchased 1,447 hectares of land in the Cairngorms National park to plant 1.5 million trees aiming for the highest quality carbon offset in the UK. They partnered with AKRE tree nursery to grow native species locally to increase biodiversity.
Our job was to film scenic aerial footage of the Cairngorm site and capture face to camera pieces at the AKRE Nursery in Fife telling both abrdn's and AKRES's story.
